What Does a
Pediatric Neurologist Do?
There are many specialties in the medical field. So knowing the difference between all the varying functions can be confusing. But it is important to be well informed about the role of your pediatric neurologist in your child’s healthcare.
A pediatric neurologist is a physician who specializes in treating disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves that affect children. The illnesses they diagnose and treat can include vertigo, migraines, and seizures, for example. Other conditions treated include autism and cerebral palsy. These specialists can identify delays in development and can give recommendations for special needs children.
